It is one thing to claim, but another thing to back np the claim by a statement that, if not proven true, there will be no charge for the service or the eoods. It is in this way that J. H. Kennedy & Co. sell Hyomei. for they have so much faith in its power to cure all forms of catarrh and bronchial troubles that they give an abso lute, unqualified guarantee with every outfit that if the remedy does not cure the money will be refunded. A complete Hyomei outfit costs but $160, making it not onlv a very pleasant method of treatment, but most economical Ap 19,23,26. L0RAY LOCALS., A NAY LOCATE HERE Mecklenbarf Mao Proposes to Establish Dairy Near Gastonia il Suitable Location Can be Had. Mr. Thomas Douglass and Mr. Henry Armstrong, two prosperous and well to-do farm ers of the Hopewell neieb'bor bood, Mecklenburg county, spent yesterday in Gastonia in vestigating the prospect tor the establishment of a dairy. While here they looked at some property near town and, while no deal was closed, it is not at all improbable that Mr. Doug lass will decide to locate in this county and conduct a nrst- class dairy farm. Mr. Arm strong does not contemplate leaving Mecklenbnrg, where he is now engaged in me aairy business. That there is a demand and a good field here for a business of this kind there is no doubt. While there are several dairys which furnish milk and kin dred supplies to the town, the demand exceeds the supply and is. steadily growing. Mr. Doug- ass, we understand, was favor ably impressed with the town and with the prospects for the building up of a business of this kind and, while he did not close a deal, it is more than likely that be will do so in the near liture. New Machinery for Loray Mill The Protracted Meelinf Still ' on at West End Delegates . lor District Conference. Con csjiontieuco of Tho Onsetta. ' ; Loray, April 25.--We have no news of a startling nature therefore nothing that the yellow journals would care for. There have been no runaway marriages nor midnight brawls nor even a hint of a blind tiger in our end of town lately but everything is moving along evenly and quietly."--. .- The Loray Mills have recently installed a machine for twisting in Warps which is a very inter esting machine as it takes the threads, one at a time, and ties them in with the utmost pre cision, never making a mistake nor forgetting its business. It was made by the Barber-Col man Co-who make the knotters that are used so extensively in the mills at present. The latest improvement is the new air compressor which has just been intalled for the purpose of blowing the dust off the looms, thus keeping them cleaned off. These are very valuable machines and great labor savers. Mr, R. J. Smith, formerly of Greers, S. C, has accepted a position here as second hand in weaving. Mr. R. G Croker, of Spartan burg, S. C, is a recent addition to the force of loom fixers. Several of our old loom fixers I are moving back and as they are nrst rate reiiows we wel come them home again for they are good citizens. They are Messrs. John McKinney, H. E. Beatty, of Greers; Will GTaham, of Salisbury; J. M. McFarknd, of Gaffney; and Rev. J. W. Pucket, of Newton. The protracted services at West End are being well at tended this week. The pastor is conducting the services him self, assisted by Rev. F. W. Bradley. Mr." Downum was disap pointed in not getting the help he counted on. Rev. H. H Jordan, of Lenoir, had intended coming to assist but has been sick for the past week and un able to get out. Rev. W. V Hunnicutt. of Bessemer, was called upon also to assist but sickness prevented his coming but Messrs. Downum and Bradley are both able preachers and are having a good meeting The delegates from West End to the District conference which meets in Dallas next week ex pect to attend in full. The delegates are: Rev. F. W Bradley. Messrs. J. L. and J. G Jenkins. R. H. Hare, C. A. Allen, and S. L. Jenkins. Be sides the delegates there are others who will attend from here.
